About

Wheel of Chance is a game that comes from WGS Technology. The slot is a classic one in every area, from the symbols that appear on its reels, to the layout that is available inside. There are mostly fruit and pub slot related elements on those reels, the kind of icons that most classic slots will include these days. A total of 3 reels are in use, like in every other classic slot machine. You get a single pay line on those reels, and its rewards will mostly depend on how many coins you are using for it. You can get rewards of up to 2,400 coins, turned into cash payouts of $24,000 at best. Even though you’re looking at a classic, you’re still going to enjoy some features, meaning that you get wilds, multipliers, scatters and bonus games, which is quite a long list for such a slot.

Betting requirements

Most games that have 3 reels & 1 line will allow players to use more than one coin for their wagers. It’s the case here as well, and you can choose between bets of 1, 2 or 3 coins for that single line. You decide on the coin denomination at the same time, and it will start from $0.01 and can be taken up to $10. Ultimately, the betting range of Wheel of Chance is between $0.01 and $30.

Theme & Design

While video slots are a much more recent introduction, the classic slot machines that this game is inspired from have been launched more than a century ago. Images of 7s, of cherries, bells or Bar logos have been part of these casino machines for a very long time, so it’s no big surprise that they’re celebrated in almost every classic game these days. WGS chose to add another layer to the theme, using a wheel of chance as well for its bonus game and for the background image. The design style is a regular one, using standard icons, so there is nothing special about it. I’ve seen those symbols in much worse graphics though, so I’m not going to complain about the fact that they’re boring by now. You have three large reels on the main screen, with the paytable being accessed from one of the buttons. In a lot of classic slots the paytable is on the same screen as the reels, but not here, so the impression is that the game is not as crammed. The symbols that are offered start with the Bonus Wheel and the Diamond, then continue with the red 7, the three types of stacked Bar logos, and the cherries.

Special Features

The features offered here will be available from two symbols, the Diamond and the Bonus Wheel. The Diamond Wild seems to be available as a substitute no matter what kind of wager you’re using. The rewards are the only ones that vary with the number of coins that are in the bet. Diamonds can be used as substitutes in new combos, and they will bring multipliers along as well. You get a 2x multiplier for that win if a single Diamond wild contributes, and a 4x multiplier if there are two such symbols on the line. The other symbol, the Bonus Wheel, is only going to trigger a bonus feature for you if you’re using a 3 coin bet. If not, it is a fairly useless symbol to get, since it doesn’t do anything at lower bets. It’s always nice to get bonus games in classic slots, since they’re so rare, and here we have one that obviously involves a wheel of fortune and prizes that you can win from it.

Wheel of Chance

Jackpot

The big prize in Wheel of Chance comes via a combo of three wild Diamonds, which will pay 2,400 coins if the wager is set to 3 coins. It’s a value of up to $24,000 in exchange for that combo. If the wager is smaller, at 2 or 1 coins, the rewards drop accordingly, to 1,600 or 800 coins, respectively. The only one to get an increased reward when using 3 coins in the bet, is that wild. All the other symbols will get payouts to change only for wagers of 1 or 2 coins. Using 3 coins in the bet doesn’t increase the rewards for regular wins.

Conclusion

Wheel of Chance has an interesting collection of features, especially for a 3 reel game, but that’s about the only thing that makes it special. If you enjoy a good 3 reel game, then this might be a good choice.
